Do you know Botox ?

Who hasn’t heard about Botox? It seems everyone knows what is this substance: one of the most popular supplements in aesthetic medicine today.
Botox is a pure form of botulinum toxin type A, a neurotoxin. The toxin occurs in nature - is produced by the gram-positive anaerobic bacterium called Clostridium botulinum. It blocks the conduction of nerve signals to the muscles, therefore it is used in the treatment of wrinkles.

Appropriate injections of facial muscles causes temporary blocking of nerve impulses and muscle immobilization. The botulinum therapy is used to reduce facial wrinkles, deep vertical and lateral furrows. The treatment does not affect the condition of the skin. "Freezing" of choosen muscles relieves the skin and inhibits the formation of wrinkles.
BOTOX is injected with a disposable syringe with a thin needle. The treatment itself is very short, and it's almost painless. Keep in mind that it can be performed only by well-trained doctors, because it requires precision and expertise.

Smoothing out wrinkles starts during 2-3 days after injection of Botox, and the final result can be placed up to 2 weeks. Botox is used for smoothing wrinkles in the upper part of the face, and neck line as well.
The advantage of Botox is short-term acting of the toxin. After about 6-9 months of the treatment the muscles recover their sensitivity to nerve impulses. The treatment can be repeated many times. What's important, the results of each subsequent injection persist longer and so that the treatments can be repeated at longer intervals.
